Eliminate your winter blues with restorative yoga and self care

In this special class Anne Patrick will guide you through a series of restorative poses while licensed massage therapist Nate Denison will offer hands-on assists that will help to deepen awareness of self, allowing for more complete relaxation and ultimately give the opportunity to provide self-care. These yoga and massage techniques will help release held tensions encouraging the body towards repair, growth, optimal immune function and self-nurturing processes. This combination will unravel the mind and body and elicit the relaxation response to help create healthy, healing habits.

INSTRUCTOR BIOS

Nate Denison is an experienced Boston-based licensed massage therapist and yoga instructor. Nate enjoys providing of these modalities, allowing for the creation of safe and supportive environment for people to take care of themselves and others. Nate considers it an honor to hold the space for others positively transform themselves. When not participating in leading workshops, Nate can be found teaching yoga classes across the Boston area for studios such as YogaWorks, South Boston Yoga, and One Powered Yoga.

Anne Patrick, an adventurous and playful yogi at heart, believes in the connecting power of yoga. Teaching since 2009, Anne leads with a desire to create a supportive space for her students to reconnect to themselves through being present in breath and to explore through mindful movement. She designs her sequences to be both challenging and rejuvenating. Deeply caring about the structural alignment of each pose, Anne first addresses the physicality, then layers in the subtle elements of the practice. With a degree in Biology and Psychology, Anne studied the impact of yoga on the mind and body and believes in yoga’s inherent value for holistic well being. Anne received her 200HR from Back Bay Yoga, and her 500HR from Super Soul Farm led by Raghunath Cappo, where she spent a month living and learning at Radhanath Swami’s Govardhan Eco Village in Mumbai, India.
